Bed bugs - our solution

Our method is effective, odorless and silent. After a thorough inspection, any protein compound in the room gets destroyed and the bed bug spread stops thanks to one or more high-performance devices and a professional installation.

With the help of bed bug tracking dogs bed bugs can be located even in the smallest cracks. The dogs were specially trained and track the bugs based on their smell. The hit rate is 90% -100% - even with a low infestation.

The treatment is discreet, effective and does not damage the environment.

Bed bug infestation

Infestation suspected: What to do

If bedbugs stung you during the holidays, you should definitely not take your luggage back to the apartment. The bedbugs would spread in your living room within a very short time. The entire luggage must instead be hermetically sealed in large garbage bags and thus prepared for treatment.

At mobilimmo plus GmbH * there is a cooling chamber for this, in which the luggage is treated for 7 days at approx. - 35 ° C and without chemicals. A technician must inspect all items that are not to be frozen. These items should be placed in a separate bag in advance so that your personal luggage does not have to be searched. Not suitable for freezing are for example: drinks, digital cameras, notebooks, plants etc.
Cold treatment can rarely cause damage, even if all precautions have been taken. We do not assume liability for these damages. Please label all baggage items as well.

Have you already brought your luggage to your apartment?

Immediate measures:

You should not spray chemical products, as some bed bugs will leave the room infesting the whole apartment and, in the worst case, the whole house. Glue the doorframe around and including the floor with adhesive tape. Press the tape firmly in the corners so that no hollow space is created underneath. For a wooden doorframe, the transition between the frame and the wall must also be sealed with adhesive tape. Then glue a double-sided adhesive tape over the adhesive tape, which acts as a barrier for the bed bugs. All untreated objects in the infested room may also be affected and should not be carried out of the room under any circumstances.

Bedbugs need a meal every three days. If you do not sleep in the room, the bedbugs will migrate and find new rooms in search of food. This is why a coordinated action is so crucial. Look for small droppings at the bed frame or slatted frame, which are about 1mm in size and appear as dark spots. If you find traces, you can moisten the finger and pass over it. If the spot can be removed, then it is clearly a trace of bed bug droppings. If you cannot find anything on the bed, then expand the search on the nearby furniture, closet, baseboards, pictures, etc. Internal corners, edges, cavities, fittings, seams, etc. are also used as hiding places.

The bed bug tracker dogs

If you cannot find anything while checking and still have stings, we highly recommend our bed bug tracker dogs. The dog will carefully search the room, apartment or house together with the dog trainer and a technician.

Preparation for the control with bed bugs tracker dogs:

  • After arranging an appointment, you give us access to your living space. We do not assume liability for all damages & residues, which are caused or left by the presence of the dogs.

  • All furniture must be moved about 50 cm away from the walls, so that the dog can search everything.

  • On the day of bed bug control, the apartment can only be ventilated in the early morning for about five minutes. Three hours before the appointment, the windows already have to stay closed.

  • Do not remove any objects from the affected room.

  • There should be no animals in the affected room that could distract the tracker dogs. However, terrariums and aquariums do not have to be removed.

  • When moving the furniture dust and dirt emerge. Please leave it there.

  • Please inform us beforehand if you have already sprayed chemical agents. In this case, the tracking can have serious consequences for the dogs or will not show a reliable result. The tracker dogs have been specially trained for bed bugs search and achieve very high hit rates. However, since dogs are living beings and some rooms are hardly accessible, a residual risk remains.

  • You can stay and watch the team's work. If your help is needed, an employee will ask you to intervene.

The treatment

Preparation for the treatment:

In 90% of the cases, a thermal treatment is made by heating the room and all objects for 3 days to approx. 60 ° C. This treatment is chemical-free except for the barriers set by the pest controller. However, since the type of treatment depends on the design of the home or house, in some cases chemistry has to be used.

  • Please inform the technician if living beings, especially cold-blooded animals such as fish, are present in the room. These must be carried out of the room, so that late effects can be avoided.

  • The following items cannot be left in the room: candles, fireworks or similar products, lighters, matches and other combustibles, batteries, power packs, batteries, alcohol, perfume, spray cans, sealed cans, food (except dry food), instruments, etc. This list is not completed. All removed objects must be placed outside the apartment (on the balcony for example) so that the technician can check them. Some items may need to be treated separately.

  • Refrigerator and freezer must be emptied and turned off before a kitchen treatment. All food (except of dry food) have to be taken away.

  • There should not be plants in the room.

  • The electrician has to prepare one or several CEE16 3-phase sockets (9kW each) in the apartment so that the heating stove can be connected. (see image)

  • All furniture has to be moved about 50 cm away from the walls, so that the electrician can take off and treat all the baseboards.

  • It can rarely happen that the baseboard cannot be re-attached after treatment. In this case, the baseboards have to be re-attached by the client at his own expense.

  • Electrical devices cannot stay connected in the sockets of the treated room. If the technician has to disconnect equipment from power sources, then no liability is assumed.

  • If there is a refrigerator or a freezer in the room, it has to be disconnected from power sources to prevent damages to the unit.

  • Fire, smoke or temperature alarm systems have to be deactivated.

  • All removed objects can only be brought back to the treated room after an inspection made by the technician. Only then a new contamination can be prevented.

During treatment

Since not every room can be heated equally, a readjustment of the temperature will be necessary. It is therefore an advantage if the technician has a key to the affected rooms during your absence. This allows adjustments to be made at any time and to prevent damages.

After treatment

In the following 24 hours after the treatment, the room has to be cooled down slowly. Therefore, no windows can be opened during this time. The outside temperature is 40 - 60° C cooler than in the treated room, so that the temperature fluctuations can cause considerable damages.

Heat treatments can rarely cause damage even though all precautions have been taken. For example: Damage to electronic equipment, crazing in the wall, warped doors, parquet damage, damage of the coating of furniture, deformation of objects, cracks in solid wood furniture and other products. This list is not completed. Precious objects can therefore be treated alternatively. There is no liability for damages.
